Lately I've been seeing a lot of similar cases.
Last month I was caught in my own spiral over work — overthinking, draining myself. Reiki and yoga helped me soften and face things again. What surprised me was that almost every client who came to me for healing during that stretch was dealing with the same thing: anxiety, mental exhaustion. Even friends I hadn't heard from in years suddenly reached out, and it was always to unload something heavy.
Everyone seemed stuck in the same state.
It felt like the universe was nudging me: check your own energy first. Pay attention.
I happen to be studying Ayurvedic yoga right now, so I went straight to the practices — prāṇāyāma, āsana, meditation. And somewhere in there I caught myself: so many unnecessary assumptions, so much guessing at what other people were thinking. In that moment my shoulders dropped. It was fascinating.
How I work during a session
When that client came to me last month, I took a quick look at their Vedic astrology chart first, to get a sense of where their energy had been. Then I let the conversation confirm — or not — what the chart was showing. During the healing itself, I also feel into how the four elements are distributed, and whether anything is out of balance.
Reading "prone to overthinking" in a chart
Start with the Moon.
The Moon represents manas (मनस्) — the mind, the part of us that receives, reacts, and turns things over. Look first at the sign. A Moon in Scorpio is almost a guarantee of that inward churning. When the Moon isn't well placed, the inner monologue runs constantly, and relating to others gets stuck too — it's hard to read the room and meet people where they are.
If the Moon sits in the 8th house, there's the overthinking plus a pull toward worst-case scenarios. The mood turns heavy, tamasic (तमस्).
That said, sign and house always have to be read together. A Taurus Moon in the 8th, with a decent 5th house, can actually make for a sharp investor.
Someone asked about the Moon in the 12th. Also prone to overthinking — but it costs the body more, because sleep is more easily disrupted.
Pairing a quick chart read with hands-on work has made me appreciate this tool. Feeling someone's energy tells me where they are right now; the chart adds a layer of understanding to it. Together they let me see what a person is actually moving through, and be better company for them while they do.
One last note
I'm still deep in my Vedic astrology training. Enrollment won't open until after late September. If you're interested, keep an eye out then — or join the newsletter, and I'll email you the moment it opens.
